BASDA Members taste success at the Software Satisfaction Awards dinner
Over half of the winners at the Software Satisfaction Awards dinner at the Grand Connaught Rooms on 7th October, were BASDA members!
The Awards are based on a combination of customer surveys and peer judging. Between May and July 2010 more than 6,900 business software users took part in the customer survey, giving their views on over 80 business software products from 63 software vendors and resellers. The shortlist was then judged by a team of industry specialists to reach the final list of sixteen industry award winners.
Access UK made two trips up to the stage, winning with their products Access Dimensions (Enterprise Accounting & Finance) and SelectHR (for SME HR and HCM). Acorah Software were proud to see their TaxCalc product win the 'Tax' category, while Sage UK's Sage 50 Payroll led the field for SME Payroll products. Oracle CRM was first past the post in the category of Enterprise CRM & Customer Management and Version One's Document Management was a winner of the Enterprise Paperless Office and Document Management sector. Version One were also the proud recipients of the BASDA Green Software Provider of the Year. Phocas Ltd saw their Phocas 5 product take top spot for Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management.
There were two individual awards made on the night. Mark Salmon of The Access Group won the ICAEW IT Faculty award, while Dennis Keeling (previous CEO of BASDA) was presented with the BASDA Theo Van Dort Award for his contributions to the software industry.
