NCC's Evaluation Centre
Championing the effective use of IT since 1966, The National Computing Centre has provided buyers with a range of services to assist them with their procurement requirements. This has included research reports, high-quality conferences and a range of publications including Conspectus, Management Consultants' News and IT Adviser.
The objective of all of these activities has been to provide users with the highest quality of information on a timely basis. The NCC now has nearly 1,000,000 individuals who have used our services and we believe that is a phenomenal endorsement.
However, the web has provided the NCC with an exciting, flexible distribution facility that enables us to extend our range of services. In 2004 we researched how the web is being used and how this can benefit users and buyers of software and technology.
The result – The Evaluation Centre- a unique interactive service guiding users to successful IT procurement:
- Find the software, services and technology you need from 11 Evaluation Centres.
- Access a library of independently audited vendor reports.
- Download expert guidance on the whole IT project lifecycle.
- Each Evaluation Centre has a Service Centre for further information and advice.

AFDEL, the Association of Software Developers in France is the voice of the software industry in France. AFDEL work with BASDA and the ESA to promote the software industry's issues at the European level.
Created in October 2005, the European Software Association is the voice of the European Independent Software Vendor (ISV) community. ISV members of the association work with EU policy makers and other European stakeholders to foster an environment that supports innovation and competitiveness within the European software industry, and that supports the needs of other European business communities.
Since its formation in 1997, the Trade Association Forum has been encouraging the development and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations and promoting the role of effective trade associations to government, industry and the wider public.
