CLOUD VENDOR CHARTER
BASDA's Cloud Vendor Charter was developed by members of the Cloud Awareness Computing Special Interest Group, and is intended for software developers and independent software vendors (ISVs). It seeks to encourage a responsible approach to data management, application availability, security and customer management throughout the life cycle of customer engagement. Most importantly, this Charter will signify a base level of technical professionalism.
Qualification to the Charter will be through self-certification, and there will be no charge to signatories who are BASDA members.
A new dedicated logo will be made available to all accepted signatories, and BASDA will promote signatories through this website and other channels as appropriate.
In addition,BASDA has negotiated with Cloud Industry Forum for signatories to the BASDACharter to obtain a 50% preference discount on the cost of registration totheir Code of Practice. Alternatively,members wishing to take up CIF's Code only, can obtain a reduced preferencediscount. Contact the BASDA office formore details.
