A good example of where this mattered was the introduction of immediate changes to Capital Gains Tax. HMRC’s systems were not ready to support the changes, and BASDA played a pivotal role in bringing software providers together to help define and implement the requirements. That collaborative approach enabled the industry to respond quickly and effectively.
Alongside this, the regular meetings with HMRC, member forums and peer network provide valuable opportunities to share knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and stay ahead of regulatory change.
