Webinar: Post BREXIT Working Party: Northern Ireland the current status of trade with the EU & GB

    12:00 -13:30
    09/12/21

It has been suggested that the Northern Ireland Protocol was agreed to at the last minute by the UK Government to secure a formal BREXIT Trade Deal with the EU.

However it came into being, it has demonstrably caused hardship for the people of Northern Ireland and significant difficulties for businesses in Northern Ireland (NI) & Great Britain (GB – England, Scotland & Wales) who were expected to treat Northern Ireland as if it were still part of the EU.

Lyndsey Robinson, EMEA Customs Manager, GRS Program Compliance and Development from Avalara is kindly joining us to present and will provide a brief introduction to the events since BREXIT happened and a review of how trade must currently be conducted between all parties, whether NI, GB or EU with examples of the difficulties still being experienced for businesses who historically had little or no need to concern themselves with import/export documentation/reporting.

This event is open for ALL BASDA members to join and is FREE to attend.
