Tim Cole, Chair of the BASDA eBusiness SIG has submitted a ‘Challenge’ on the Cabinet Office Open Standards Hub proposing a Single Format for Utility and Sustainability Data, citing the work that BASDA has already done in this area (Green XML, Utilities XML) and stating that “software applications that could manage this automatically require custom interfaces, manual input routines or custom data manipulation because it is not possible to design solutions around any consistent format in which such data will be provided.”
