BASDA Hot on the Heels of the Chancellor’s Budget Announcements on Digital Tax Accounts

Uncategorized

Tax returnLess than 24 hours after Wednesday’s Budget announcements, BASDA has confirmed a meeting for Friday 27th March with HMRC’s Head of Digital Services to discuss the implications for business software developers of the death of the tax return, integration of 3rd party products into new ‘self-populating’ digital tax accounts and changes to employers NI.

Attending members will come from BASDA’s Payroll, Pensions and HR Interest Group as well as the recently launched Accountants in Practice Interest Group.

Additionally, Kevin Hart, BASDA Chairman, has been contacted by HMRC’s IT Director, to confirm his personal support for BASDA working closely with HMRC to move things forward as quickly as possible.

HMRC’s Chief Technology Officer is the keynote speaker at our BASDA Annual Summit on 2 June 2015
