The BASDA Construction SIG is to meet on Thursday 6th February 2014 to go through the detail of the CITB Levy Simplification proposal, with Colin Chapman, Levy Development Manager of CITB.
The CITB Board has endorsed the proposal going out to wider industry consultation. This commenced in November 2013 and is expected to last approximately six months, including in depth discussions with employers, federations as well as surveying employers for their views.
HMRC are more generally reviewing the CIS Tax scheme and there are other potential future changes to discuss.
BASDA Construction SIG members include software providers COINS, Causeway, Sage UK, CCS UK and Cyberqube as well as industry specialists Miller Homes, Redrow and Travis Perkins.
